Extra Information | The autograph score was already lost by 1800, even before the work was first published. It was published in 1802 (1809?) by Artaria (plate 1536) and by Johann André (plate 1602) - it is not presently clear which published the work first (intriguing, since according to NMA they are not simply the same edition co-published.) (André then published a piano arrangement of the variations finale, released by November 1803 (briefly reviewed in the Nov. 1803 AMZ, p.112.)) |
