Copyright Information =No. 22, "Bill," has lyrics co-authored by Hammerstein and P. G. Wodehouse and was adapted from a number written by Wodehouse and Kern for an earlier musical. The music for "Bill" is in the public domain in Canada, but the lyrics are not. The music itself may not be affected by the Rule of the Shorter Term in EU countries since Wodehouse was a British national, but since Wodehouse did not write the song specifically for Show Boat, the rest of the piece is in the public domain in at least some EU countries due to the application of the rule.
