Rebhun's Geistlich Spiel/Marianklage is tagged as a passion, lamentation, and incidental music. It seems these four short choruses are the only music in the whole work, so they function more like incidental music, but the work is "Mary's lament", and according to Grove Music, the Marianklage were a "unique form of Medieval passion play".
