Actually, at least I prefer to keep the numeric value of number of movements in arabic, and only the individual movements in roman. Also, the genres are no longer modifiable by most users, and are placed in the "tags" at the bottom of each page )please do not modify!). If you have a dispute over the categorization of a piece, contact a member of the Categorization Project. Thanks-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 14:40, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I will keep all of this in mind for future edits. Thanks Lndlewis10 16:47, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
Because he died in 1972, he can't be uploaded here, since he's under copyright in most of the world. You may want to read this page for more information on what's permissible on IMSLP. Thanks, KGill talk email 16:05, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Hi, we actually already have this piece here. Thanks, KGill talk email 23:56, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Because he died in 1973, his works are not in the public domain in Canada and therefor can not be uploaded to this site. Like Kgill said, it may be a good idea to read this. It's quite interesting and will no doubt come in handy. Thanks, BKhon 20:37, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Unless you are referring to a different John Cage, his works are not yet in the public domain in Canada since he died in 1992. The page will have to be deleted. Thanks, BKhon 22:15, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
The Sibley item you uploaded as Kinder's Cantilene du Soir is actually a number of separate pieces from a series titled Recital Pieces for Organ. Ideally, we'll eventually need to split this up into the separate composers and pieces. You have to watch out with Sibley items as the descriptions are sometimes inaccurate, especially for the items they added up until 2008 or so. Dates are notoriously unreliable, as they often will simply put in a date like "1800" or "1870" when there is no date printed on the music at all. These estimated dates are also frequently considerably off the mark. Carolus 20:25, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi Nick, you can just remove the file on the upload form. Simply highlight all the text in the 'file' box that contains a filename ending in 'circ' and delete it. Cheers, KGill talk email 02:13, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
We already have him: Rygaard, Georg Thanks, KGill talk email 02:26, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
I do. Nothing comes up under a search.
No. I will next time. Sorry. Lndlewis10 02:44, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Don't bother with that last one. I'm no longer fit to contribute. At least for a few more hours, Lndlewis10 02:53, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi Nick, would you mind just marking the files for deletion rather than tagging them as 'Removed' (which has no effect whatsoever)? Thanks, KGill talk email 01:55, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes, the Villa-Lobos is also a clear copyright violation. We can't have any legal threats laying around the site, even if it's a piece by your favorite composer. Lndlewis10 02:26, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi Carolus. Thsnk you for informing me of the situation. I did go ahead and tag the works for deletion, as you know. I thought it would be safer if they were removed. I look forward to the real Steven uploading his latest typesets, since many of them were very nice. Lndlewis10 17:46, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Hello, have a look at the corresponding forum entry - strange thing to happen! --Kalliwoda 18:55, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
I just stumbled upon a very serious bug resulting in workpages being invisible on the composer page: Dvorak: Symphony No 9 "New World" Could find the page by doing a search for New World, however. Apparently Lndlewis10 on Nov. 30 deleted a score file incompletely leaving a single bracket "}" behind - and that resulted in the complete workpage being invisible. I fixed the problem for this page, but am wondering how many other pages have "disappeared" by similar faulty edits
Weird... Leaving a bracket wouldn't have caused that I don't think. I would approach a more "regular" user about this, like KGill or Carolus. Thanks for bringing this to my attention - Lndlewis10 00:44, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I wouldn't be too concerned about this. It's really a pretty infrequent mistake (luckily...), and when people make it they commonly catch it when looking at the page after their edit (I've done this myself several times). KGill talk email 02:06, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Good idea! Instead of scores, maybe it's better to have "Works translated by..." or "Texts translated by...", as the template could then be used for books as well. Just a suggestion — P.davydov 17:35, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
(reference: User talk:Schissel/archive3#Instrumentation again and other places) I don't mind doing that one way or the other, so long as there is a page I can find out what the rules are about this, this minute and then again the next minute, or if people will make up their minds. A really somewhat frustrated though not at you - Eric 01:37, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello Lndlewis10,
I moved the file to Sonata in A major, Wq.55/4 (H.186) (Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel), because the Allegro is a movement of the Sonata. --TobisNotenarchiv 12:27, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Why did you remove the composer names? Are you splitting it?-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 21:05, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
I never noticed that to be a common practice. According to the "publication" information field, the format is: <Place>: <Publisher>, No. <Publisher's catalog number>, <Date>. Plate <Plate number>. Where would I mention that it's part of "Alte Meister"? Lndlewis10 21:12, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Ah, OK. That makes sense... Lndlewis10 21:14, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
See the comment on my talk page. The more I think about this, the less I am persuaded Altmann has anything to do with these. Carolus 04:53, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi Nick. Just to let you know that she's been moved to Martinez, Marianne in accordance with our naming guidelines. Cheers, KGill talk email 23:08, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
Since almost everything (except 1 title) is by Julius, use the simple form (André) instead of adding the first name 26 times. I already put in (J.B. André) on the single example of his brother's arrangement we have. It will make life easier. Carolus 05:51, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for changing the title back. One thing, though. Sorry for being picky, but could you change the page´s name to the proper french spelling, Trio pour un violon instead of Trio pour un violin. I wouldn´t generally at all care if it´s perfectly spelled or not, but now, as far as I understand, you don´t get any results in the search if you type in the right spelled title of this piece. That, however, could be a problem. This composition is so rare and otherwise important, so that´s why I´m so rigid with the right spelling one this one. I´m very happy to be able to spread this piece of art to as many people as possible.
Cheers
Hi Nick. This is not actually a picture of Graupner (none exists), and therefore I've removed it from his category. (See also here.) Cheers, KGill talk email 21:38, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
