Well, i was not so worried about the copyright, if it is, someone will drop by and say can you remove that please, i hold the copyright, no? It just looks much older. Also all the dates on Eulenburg are much earlier. In end 50ties eulenburg was bought by schott according to wikipedia, so it would surprise me that is all.

Schott do seem to still sell prometheus with order number 8008, 88 pages though.~ Naja 19:07, 15 July 2007 (EDT)

Hi Nacho and Naja, The Eulenburg score dates from 1965 as far as we can tell. That does not mean it's protected by copyright, though, because the UK has a 25-year term limit for re-engravings of works that are already public domain - which means it's PD in Canada also thanks to the rule of the shorter term. The full score was first published by Edition Russe before WW I and the piece itself is public domain worldwide. Eulenburg often re-engraved works to fit the format of their miniature score series. BTW, Naja, you should check out IMSLP's own Eulenburg page. I notyes there are differences between what Wikipedia says and what we have here, which is mainly taken from Grove. Kurt Eulenburg moved to London before the war, and sold the main part of the company to Schott in the late 1960s. The branch located in Switzerland is still independent, as far as I know. I guess I found them, in the library of my university there's a volume on Liszt that is tittled "Late Pieces". The only drawback is that I don't think they are PD.

I didn' had a chance to go to the library. Unfortunately it will be closed tomorrow and on friday (Holy Week here). I will let you know if the work is there, but as I told you I have my doubts that is PD. It's seems to be an edition edited by Leslie Howard, so I'm 99% sure it's not PD, therefore, I can not scan it. Cheers.

Tournemire

Errors and Corrections

Hello NachoBA,

First of all thank you for your copious uploads. But you make a lot of errors in your file submissions. For correcting these errors we need to download all the files again and look for the specifications, which is a time- and bandwith-consuming process. Therefore, we would like to ask you kindly to read the Score submission guide and Score submission guidelines carefully. An example of a good file submission is Fugues et Caprices (Roberday, François) which I have corrected for you.

If you have problems with the submission process, just let us know (e.g. add a comment on this page) and we will be glad to help you. As I've said, sorry for the inconveniences that I've may caused. Honestly my idea was to contribute to the archive a lot of files. I will try to put as much as information as I can. On a separate note, I think that the pieces that I've put under Johann Christoph Bach should go under Johann Christoph Friederich Bach. The rest of the files that I have uploaded are already updated and are now to IMSLP standards. cheers

Hehe... don't worry about it :) I know that it does take a while before one gets used to IMSLP's submission style. Even after reading the guide and guidelines there are still many things that are "habits" which regular IMSLP contributors have slowly developed over time (as you can see, some of my early submissions are quite poor too). All of the regular and semi-regular IMSLP contributors go through a period of getting used to the submission system and submission style used on IMSLP. Which, unfortunately, cannot really be "written down", as they do differ somewhat on a case-to-case basis. But again, don't worry about it! Do your best; me and other regular IMSLP contributors will fix things if you happen to make an error (and/or tell you about it).

And YES, the one I was looking for is there  :)  :)  :)  :) - my memory was playing tricks on me, it was d minor, as it turned out (F. 18). So - nice going! (If I had looked more closely before, I would have seen the beginning of the piece on the last page of F.17 - so much to do, so little time etc.) Anyway, the next time I have access to a harpsichord I am going to give it a whirl. -mh, in WFB heaven

THANKS for putting up the 4 Friedemann Bach FANTASIAS! Are there any more forthcoming? For years I have been trying to find a fantasia in (I think) G minor; it was used in an old German movie (very corny film, but fun) called "Friedemann Bach." In any case, thanks for all the great scores you are contributing.

Friedemann Bach (1941) - Movie

In responce to mhurshell , i also have been looking for a copy of the fantasia played in the 1941 movie "friedemann Bach" .Ive had the advantage of having a copy of this film and it would seam that the fantasia played on the film is not F18 , it seams to be another fantasia using the same first page of F18 and the grave sectoin from F19 , then material i cannot find .Dose anyone know what fantasia this is ? or was it compiled from various fantasias by the harpsichordist in the movie ?

Thanks for your reply. I have noted the missing pages on the work page under "Misc. Notes". They are no. 1, 16, 17, 32, 33, 48, 49, 64, 65, 80, 81, 96, 97, 112, 113, 128, 129, 144, 145, 160, 161, 176, 177, 192, 193, 208, 209, 224, 225. I'll have a look at the other Couperin pieces, too. About sheets

Unfortunately, i have incomplete Mendelssohn organ works. But i am still searching. For now, i have 3 preludes and fugues op. 37 and 1, 3 and 4 sonata. I'm looking for Sweelinck complete works (like these from CD sheet music) and more rare baroque or romantic organ works/composers.

Hello Nacho, when submitting typesets one has to be extremely careful. Do you have the permission for uploading soler's sonatas? On Chateaugris' Page you can read: "Copyright © 2005 ChateauGris. All rights reserved."

Hi Peter, I do not have his permission, though in his site one can read that he is posting the stuff as "public domain"(See here http://www.chateaugris.com/Soler/whatsnew.htm ). I've pressumed that this is enough to upload the stuff to the IMSLP. Let me know if you believe that an express permission should be asked. Cheers / nachoBA

Well, there is an entry in the "News" page which says specifically that he is placing the files in the public domain (site, archived version here)... check out the entry for Oct. 14, 2005 :)

Hi NachoBA! Thanks for contributing so many organ works on Liszt. I saw that they were scanned in grayscale, which is good for computer-viewing but they don't turn that good when printing. In the future, maybe it's better to scan them in monochrome with 600 dpi resolution instead. That way they will be in decent quality. :) --Funper _talk 07:59, 17 October 2007 (EDT)

NachoBA, many many thanks for your wonderful contributions to IMSLP - there is some wonderful repertoire here that you have added. With regards to the organ works of Louis Marchand, i noticed that pages 49 & 50 are the same, presumably the real page 50 is somewhere. I would appreciate it immensely if you was able to add this to what is a wondeful collection of French classical organ music. I would just like to point out that there is a page missing from Les Cinq Doigts, Op.777 (Czerny, Carl) because exercises 17 and 18 are missing (they are replaced by a duplicate page of exercises 15 and 16).

Would it be possible for you the scan this missing page and upload a fixed PDF with the complete set of pages?

Hello, I'm really intrested in Ch.Tournemire organ music. I wonder if you have a 5 choral-improvisations (especially I'm thinking about Choral-impro sur le "Victimae paschali laudes" and sur le "Te Deum"). If you could add this scores into imslp that will be really great! :) Greetings.

I'm not NachoBA, but I should point out that the file is blocked because it is under copyright in the US and the EU. Therefore, it would be a possible violation of copyright law to send it to you (we have no way of verifying your location). I'm afraid you'll have to get the score somewhere else.
