has created things like Wien: Doblinger, 1908 Plate H. 3969.

Indeed look at almost any P-ish (P-osh!) page. There's a missing period. ... I think that's a bit of a problem... Eric 18:04, 17 August 2015 (EDT)

P(roblem): P(eriod)? P(review)!! Eric 21:32, 17 August 2015 (EDT)

That explains why the Template:NMZ‎ was resulting in a missing period. I thought it was something I overlooked. Carolus shifted a period in the P template which can be easily enough moved back. Some odd formatting on a work page must have prompted him to do that. I'd like to see one of the pages in which template as it existed prior to his change wasn't working properly.--Cypressdome 21:48, 17 August 2015 (EDT)
I reverted it. Not sure why he thought to change it, and I'm aware the template is extremely cryptic as written, but the idea was that exactly one period would be appended no matter what kind of date information is entered. There's more than one way to do that; here, however, virtually every transclusion of the template was broken. KGill talk email 22:28, 17 August 2015 (EDT)
Now the period is missing from the end of the line (Plate H. 3969). Odder? Eric 11:59, 27 September 2017 (CEST)

"If this does not match an existing page name"

This becomes complicated, as we've seen, when what it matches is an existing redirect (and from there, multiple categories that need cleanup and merging--- "Works published by (various names of publisher")...) . Since this then doesn't link to IMSLP:Music Publishers but rather seems to work, maybe people are getting confused. I direct people here when that happens not realizing this may be the source of their confusion... Eric 15:29, 3 October 2016 (CEST)

Is there a way to do a conditional statement checking if a page is a redirect, not simply whether it exists? KGill talk email 01:39, 30 January 2017 (CET)
I would have said no but it appears I underestimated how complicated the switching can become in these templates. Erm. ... Maybe? :) Eric 00:30, 4 December 2017 (CET)

Hrm. Well, that's intriguing.

The categories sections of individual workpages just completely lost all categories of general type "Scores published by (publisher)". (That, or they became readable only by a subset of admins not including me. Or, something.) Is this deliberate or an accident? Eric 00:28, 4 December 2017 (CET)

Edit: they're not just disappearing from the pages "visually"; when you refresh the pages, they're disappearing from the categories, so eg Scores published by Hansen is now being depopd. Eric 13:38, 4 December 2017 (CET)

This was intentional, I'm moving the publisher links over to a new system called Related Pages. This is much more feature-rich than straight categories, you can see an example here. That said, the system is not finished so I'm temporarily putting back the category links. --Feldmahler 18:58, 4 December 2017 (CET)
