"Cloy" on cover, "Clay" on first page of score. Am assuming that these are pseudonyms for F.W. Messe, though as with the complicated case of G.W. Marks (explanation: some compositions "by" G.W. Marks are pseudonymous works by Brahms, but some were published much too early for this to have been the case unless Brahms was born decades earlier than is known(?)- so either there was a real G.W. Marks, or this was a multiple-pseudonym, etc.) - Cloy/Clay may have been a real person or multiple-pseudonym or both also.
