Misc. Notes The uploader's brother, Roland Daniel Besset, has this to say regarding this performance :

"I recorded it on cassette some 40-45 years ago, but I have re-recorded it via smartphone.[The sound was] generated by converting control panel beeps to a set of strictly monophonic audible frequencies, unfortunately devoid of any dynamic nuances. This was a completely unorthodox procedure so I had to make do with extraneous interferences which can be heard as a sort of pattering sound between notes. The computer was an ICT 1301, a UK IBM equivalent at the time. It sported 20 Ko of RAM and its main storage was a drum (not a disk) of less than 100 Ko ! And yet, all kinds of invoicing, payroll calculations, retirement estimates, etc. were possible. Makes you wonder... You have of course my full agreement in using this data as you think fit"

Misc. Notes Two versions are offered: in the original key and transposed down a fourth (into G major). The piano accompaniments are simplified, deromanticised and classical (like for the violin version). Some barlines are displaced for better correspondence with the phrasing. A comparison of the fingerings (and notes) in the Klengel, Rose and cellofun editions is included with the original-key version. For best results, print on A4 paper with no margins. More info, play-along accompaniments and a Literal Transcription with original barlines at cellofun.eu
