Extra Information First published for piano in The Dome (1897). Paul Kilburn was the son of Nicholas Kilburn who had conducted many of Elgar's major works. Orchestral version performed and published in 1899, first performed 16 July 1899 at New Brighton, orchestra conducted by Granville Bantock.
