The German appendix is a description of instruments. In the Novello translation it is considerably expanded (presumably by Ignaz Chevalier von Seyfried) and joined by two other appendices, on Chamber, Dramatic and Church Composition, and on Playing From Full Score. Regardless of who has written these added appendices, it can be concluded that it cannot be Albrechtberger himself; since it refers to things like, for example, on p. 241: piano schools like Hummel's (1828) or "Czerny (J.)", (which must be Joseph Czerný's Der Wiener Clavier-Lehrer (1830)), both of which were published many years after Albrechtberger's death.
