The overture to this opera was published by CF Peters in or by 1819 (in some form- score, reduced, something) as Romberg's Op.54; reviewed in AMZ, 1819, p.811. According anyway to Worldcat, the opera as a whole was published in vocal score (94pp) by Cranz as Op.63 (maybe by 1819, definitely by 1840. See above.). A (concert?) performance was reviewed AMZ February 1817 p.131. The Berlin performance is mentioned in the 22 April 1818 AMZ, p.297 ("Ubersicht des März.) The review of the Peters publication gives the overture's orchestration as double woodwind (2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons), 2 horns, 3 trombones, trumpets, timpani, strings. The overture has been recorded with symphonies 1 & 3 on cpo.

"By the composer revised copy by hand: may occasionally shortened after the experience with the first performance (Kanz Ellie stanchions) or compositional changes (Aufklebungen) Romberg concerted April 1816 at the Royal Chapel in Dresden; he may be offered on this occasion his latest opus of the court theater Directorate; performed it seems to be neither scenic yet come in concert, the score does not show any traces of practical use first staged performance probably in Berlin; 1816 in Gotha and later in Hamburg probably only concert performances without original title information; shown above: residue of a former paper envelope, the first (blank side) face glued.")
