This file is part of the Sibley Mirroring Project.
- This arrangement seems to be more than merely a vocal score of the original, since, according to Grove Music, there were originally 4 solo voices in addition to the male chorus, and there are no solo parts in this version.
- see below. BTW Cavallo is better-known (see Wikipedia) for an arrangement of the ballad for piano duet (manuscript, 1869. Not chorus & duet, just duet. Again, see below for a Worldcat link containing a BSB link.)

The "Urfassung für Männerchor a cappella" of May 1869 ("Das Tal des Espingo op. 50 - BSB Mus.ms. 4528-2. Vierstimmiger Männerchor (TTBB)") was published in 2003. The full score was also completed in 1869 -see WorldCat. An arrangement for piano 4-hands of one of these two versions by Cavallo (or Cavallo Sr.? - note 1869!) dating also from 1869 is also at BSB - see WorldCat.
