According to Leos-Janacek.org (translated quickly) : "Bis 1997 ging man davon aus, dass der Text von einem anonymen Autor stammte, der die Verse an die Zeitung > "Lidové noviny" geschickt hatte - "aus der Feder eines Autodidakten" hatte die Zeitung vermerkt, als sie die Verse in zwei Sonntagsnummern am 14. und am 21.05.1916 veröffentlichte. Im Ste-V, 79 wird ein Jan Misárek als wahrscheinlich bezeichnet, der vom Philologen František Travníček identifiziert wurde. In einem Brief vom 08.06.1916 an einen Antonín Matula war der Name des richtigen Autors mit Ozef Kalda angegeben; der Brief ist aber erst 1997 aufgetaucht."
