Extra Information Possibly composed/first performed by 1828; an account notes Lafont performing the concerto by Rode in A minor (same one?), in which he interpolated a cello concerto movement "by Lamare" which, the article's author pointed out, was in fact by Auber ("Revue musicale", 1828, volume 3, p.333.). The notes to the Naxos recording of this concerto estimate the year of composition as 1803. Hofmeister notes a publication in 1831 (Monatsbericht (1831), p.91) - one suspects earlier publication as well (Naxos' notes describe the 13th concerto as having been published (only) posthumously, but not this one.) The André parts were issued ca 1817 probably (depending on how chronological they used publisher plates), making the above irrelevant since HMB began publication in 1829.
