Schubert's note: "To be regarded as the lost son of a minuet".
It has occasionally been proposed that the Minuet in C-sharp minor, D.600 and Trio in E major, D.610 taken together form a third movement to the Piano Sonata in C major, D.613; but this suggestion is not often followed. While the trio D.610 does date from 1818, the same year as the sonata D.613, the minuet D.600 has been redated to early 1813 and hence is probably unrelated to the trio D.610 or the rest of the sonata D.613.
