Extra Information | A weird humorous song about a giggling girl. In all honesty, the song isn't that good, both musically and lyrically. There were much better humorous songs around that time and plenty of them, both with better music and actually funny lyrics. I think the public at the time thought so too, only a handful of mentions in newspapers at the time. Normally I can forgive lackluster lyrics if the music is original and good enough, however this is just frankly terrible. However it is always nice to have a copy of it for historical reasons. I can definitely see why Reynolds & Co (those who bought out J. Bath) weren't eager to reprint this. |
