The piece is tonal, and uses some themes from East European sources, some theme quotations from Western composers, as well as the composer's own themes. There are still modifications to be made to these scores (what work of art is ever complete?), which will involve the deletion of unnecessary repeats, and tighter linking of sections. The composer's intention is to make this work attractive, interesting ... and not boring.
