There is at least one recorded live performance, with Golo Berg conducting the Münster Symphony. It seems to have been first performed around 1871 and may have been composed in or beginning in 1852 (if this is not a typo.) (Does Grimm mention the work in his correspondence with Brahms, which was published in the early 20th century?)
