The recorded version of this symphony has Andante con moto, not Larghetto as does the "score to hand". (Actually, two versions, one a reduction, one a full score, have been digitized- will check the other, which has not yet been uploaded here. It's at Hathitrust, for those who want to have a look, and does seem to differ somewhat as soon as bar 13 (f in the orchestral version there, ff in the early-publication piano 4-hands reduction ; and the slow movement - which starts on page 113 of the full score of the later version - is Andante con moto.)
The full score of the version at Hathitrust has plate 7964 Richault (which suggests a publication date for it in the late 1840s- there seems not to be a matter of a "revised version" here, just a difference between full and reduced scores differing in tempo and several details not all subtle - though they may be considerations of piano duet reduction for effective performance that create some of those differences (and Gouvy knew his piano duet scoring).)
This was Gouvy's first symphony, I gather, composed 1844-45 and premiered 1846, but published second. His opus 9 (symphony "no.1" in E♭) may be the work composed 1848 referred to somewhere else.
The edition published by Richault (ca.1847, plate 7964) carries on its cover page mention that the work was also published in Leipzig by Breitkopf und Härtel. If they were simultaneous publications then perhaps the date for the Richault should be later than the ca.1847 tentatively suggested by its plate number.
An 1861-published digitized Richault score (with date stamp) is available @ BNF (plate still 7964.) It should perhaps be compared with the full and reduced scores above.
