Extra Information A 5th movement, an Intermezzo in B(natural) major, was apparently included in the 1868 first performance but discarded by the composer (who however still thought well of it, and considered using it elsewhere, e.g. in the 3rd symphony) but was rediscovered in 2001 and has been recorded on the cpo label. (Fifield, who apparently?? rediscovered the movement, discusses this in the appendix to the new edition of his Bruch biography.)
