Extra Information A short musical allegory on a quote by George Orwell from the book 1984. This music was composed in St Vincent Hospital Melbourne Psychiatric Ward, after the composer was imprisoned there and forcefully drugged, however, before the effects of the medication forced into him took full effect. He wrote it thinking of Thomas Haydon and Andrew Lawrence, ones who spent much of their lives openly carrying weapons. The composer hoped that after hearing music, they would not carry weapons anymore, and themselves become composers and similarly compose and perform music for others.
