The (also-performed and recorded) 1927 arrangement for string orchestra (as a concertino/concerto grosso with concertino and ripieno episodes/exchanges) was made, not by the composer, but by Braunfels' student Reinhard Schwarz (later somewhat better known as Schwarz-Schilling.) See preface linked-to above. The revision mentioned above however refers to a revision of the quintet undertaken by the composer, earlier in 1927. This appeared in print in 1927; the string orchestra edition, in 1928.
