Possibly dedicated to Karl Josef Wendling (Wikipedia) (1875-1962) rather than Karl Wendling (1857-1918) (both were German violinists, and the former was alive at the time this was published...) Premiered by the Wendling Quartet in 1918 (in a program with the quartet by Friedrich Klose and the Divertimento Op.32 in C by Joseph Haas.)

Date 1920 that was previously here seems to have been taken from the CD notes which in turn, from their footnotes, got it from juon.org, which usually estimates dates of composition from dates of publication as though they were often close, which with Juon especially is not the case. (So- no.)
