There is also a quartet opus 63 in D minor published in 1902 (no.5?) (found using ONB scans.)

According to HMB online (up to 1900), Ernst Eduard Taubert's string quartets include:

  1. op. 32 nos. 1 in D and 2 in E major (ca.1877) (no.2 published in or by 1883)
  2. op. 34 in E minor (pub.1878)
  3. op.56 in F minor (pub.1898)
  4. op.63 in D minor (pub.1902 (HMB 1902 p. 383)) (there may be another between opp.56 and 63 but I have not found it mentioned so far- may have to look more closely. Worldcat does not mention op.34 and mentions no others.- Schissel)

A 1908 performance is mentioned in Signale für die musikalische Welt, volume 66, no.47, 18 November 1908 issue (pp.1476, referred to as a new string quartet by Ernst Eduard Taubert though it had been published 10 years before. Perhaps published but not yet performed (much)?...)
