Misc. Notes

1. Scanned at 600dpi grayscale, improved, converted to monochrome. 2. From the uploader's library. Page 3 with the editor's introduction has been removed. The latter points out that contrary to most claims, the Mantuan Salomone Rossi was not the first to compose a Trio Sonata, Giovanni Paolo Cima's Sonate a tre for Violin, Cornetto & Basso (1610) came before. The originally unfigured bass has been realized by the editor. The "1953" date for this edition is nowhere to be found in the score but may be realistic (Pachelbel's "Triosuiten" in the same collection, No.54, with a Bärenreiter plate number that is lacking here, is actually dated 1950).

Intavolation in staff notation and French Lute-tabulature (Unisono). If performed I would look forward about a small reference to my efforts.

General Information
Navigation etc.
The title page to the 1613 collection says "Per sonar due Viole da braccio, & un Chittarone, o altro stromento simile. However, the canto primo part is in G clef, and the canto secondo part is in C clef, which rules out violas. String instruments seem to be a preference so consequently, this is tagged for viols, violins, or other soprano instruments.
