Based on the manuscript at the Hessische Landes- und Hochschulbibliothek in Darmstadt where it bears the title : Quintett D-dur and not Sonata in D-dur etc..., which title is couched in Graupner's hand. Winschermann stresses this work is more a string suite with an obligato trumpet than a concerto, which may account for it being titled Konzertsuite in a 2003 edition by Wolfgang G. Haas (Köln). He also goes on to point out its suitability for school orchestras, on account of its relative simplicity, as opposed to a companion piece also published by Sikorski which the present uploader added previously : Telemann's Concerto for Violin, Cello, Trumpet and Strings,TWV 53:D5.
Correction: Manuscript in Darmsatdt bears the title Sonata a tromba se piace 2 Violin Viola e Cembalo. - TW.

Navigation etc.

Hard to tell if "sonata a tromba" is Telemann's title or the copyist's title, but "Quintet" (or "Quintetto") isn't. Is Telemann known to have used such a title (or his copyists) in other cases even though he didn't here?
