Extra Information | The autograph is not dated. Dates of composition estimated from letters to Universal Edition. See Janáček's Works: A Catalogue of the Music and Writings of Leoš Janáček, p.208. According to this edition, it was first published in Dec. 1926 by Universal Edition (undated but Dec. 1926 most likely- possibly a (somewhat) limited edition however). Another pocket score followed from the same source a month later (mid-January 1927) in any case. Publication history |
