Misc. Notes

Mss.Ms. 20482-5 in Stabikat-Berlin. The parts bundle has 4 violin parts (2 for the violin I section and 2 for the violin II section) and a viola part that says "due viole" suggesting possibly that 4 violins- 2 of each- 2 violas, 1 cello/bass (concertino) and 1 "ripieno" cello/bass (as it says on the relevant part) are implied, rather than divided larger sections. The 2 violin I parts and 2 violin II parts seem to differ only "typographically" in minor details (placement of dynamics, e.g.)? (speaking figuratively as they are all manuscript.)

sometimes a question (though sometimes clear) whether to name something sinfonia or symphony (as the former is just the latter in Italian but affects tagging, unlike other cases.) Parts have "5. Sinfonia."
