As to Tener there's This page which may be about his brother (identified as the brother of Hubert Tener of Pittsburgh. Admittedly, just because Zitterbart lived in Pittsburgh doesn't mean that librettist Tener did, and doesn't mean that Hubert C. Tener the librettist = Hubert Tener on that page, but it seems to one to be a possibility to start with, though there are doubtless more promising angles of approach that should be looked at too... and all this says is that his brother was born 1858, etc., even if they are the same person etc. ...) - Schissel (That said: a Hubert C. Tener became secretary of Westinghouse Air Brake Co., Wilmerding, Pa., in 1918 according to Iron Age, May 2 1918, p.1174. The same Hubert C. Tener (same person as above??) is also mentioned in a 1920 magazine, according again to a Google Books search.)
