History

Thhis firm was founded in 1922 by Alexander Jadassohn (1873-1948), son of the composer Salomon Jadassohn (1831—1902), Hans Bartsch, Max Dreyfus (the director of T.B. Harms of New York) and Ernst Bloch. Rondo-Verlag published American popular songs and Dreyfus's stage show scores in Germany. Rondo-Verlag was entrusted to Aryan colleagues when Jadassohn fled to New York in 1938, but was officially dissolved in 1940. The rights for works originally published by Rondo-Verlag are now handled by Warner Chappell Music, Hamburg.
