Extra Information | This work was unknown until the Kistner parts were discovered in the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin in 2003. The first modern edition is from 2010 by Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne. It is actually the second piano quintet by Nowakowski, but the first is still lost. |
Was performed in March 2010 by the late Mihaela Ursuleasa, piano, Rainer Honeck violin, Christian Frohn viola, Arto Noras cello, and Jurek Dybał double bass in a festival in Poznań. Has also been recorded on a 2008 CD on the Camerata label and a more recent 2014 Chopin Institute CD.
