Recorded on a Simax Classics CD (PSC 1232), 2005 (recordings from 2003), with the 2nd piano concerto. (Einar Steen-Nøkleberg, piano ; Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, Terje Mikkelsen, conductor.) Information on first performances is based on the booklet to that cd. Also recorded on an Accord CD (AccordACD177, 2012. The notes to that CD only mention the Paris premiere.

Société Sainte-Cécile was founded by Belgian violonist & conductor François J-B Seghers (1801—1881, one of the founders of the Conservatoire Orchestra) and lasted till 1854.

Some works by Tellefsen were dedicated to Oscar I, some (e.g. Violin Sonata No.2) to his grandson Oscar II. (And of course many to others.)
