Neue Mozart-Ausgabe, Serie IX, Werkgruppe 27, Band 2: Einzelstücke für Klavier [NMA IX/27//Band 2 (p.35)] Kassel: Bärenreiter-Verlag, 1982. Plate BA 4584.URTEXT EDITION
This is an urtext/critical/scholarly/scientific edition (or a simple re-engraving). Any commentary or critical apparatus, if protected by copyright, should not be included in the scan(s) available here. This edition was published by Bärenreiter in Germany over 25 years ago and is in the public domain in its country of origin.
In Canada, new editions/re-engravings of public domain works (when not including new original material) should be in the public domain due to failing to meet the threshold of originality. In most European Union countries, these editions (except new original material) are generally protected for no more than 25 years from publication (30 years in Poland). In the United States, copyright can only apply to new creative work, and the re-engraving of a public domain piece (not including new additions of creative material) should not qualify for a new copyright, despite copyright claims (which properly would only apply to new material).
You may need to check the publication date and details of the work's first publication in order to determine the work's copyright status, especially for the United States.
More information can be found here. Please obey the copyright laws of your country. IMSLP does not assume any sort of legal responsibility or liability for the consequences of downloading files that are not in the public domain in your country.

scan: score scanned at 600dpi filter: score filtered with 2-point algorithm explained in High Quality Scanning. I provide the original scanned version and the filtered, because the filter does some changes (smoothening, sharpening borders) and some portions of the scan get lost sometimes (when they are too small e.g.) - so you can choose your favorite. You may ask me for a manually cleaned version.

Appears in the 1982 NMA, NMA IX/27/2, pp. 35–36. Discussed briefly in the preface, page XVI, of the same. This says of the autograph, from Barbara Ployer's Stammbuch, that it was lost in 1945. (As his Piano Concerto No.17 in G major was also written for her, K453a is considered something of an- appendix?...) (According to one forum post :), the title arises because Mozart was the dedicatee's music theory/counterpoint teacher.)
(However, with the return recently of some Mozart autographs that were not destroyed but instead taken as war spoils in World War II this last claim ("lost") may be subject to revision as with other works, according at least to recent news reports.)
