Publication in Germany as Humoresken. 3 Etuden by Johann André in 1850 (Monatsbericht (1850), p.120) trumps Richault's 1853 title.

Published by Richault in 1853 under the title Trois études caractéristiques pour piano. (Publication noted in the Bibliographie de la France (42nd Year, No.42, 15 October 1853, p.691).

Right- because the Staccato Etude is only one of the three Etudes, published separately in the 1890s (though as "Op.127" not "Op.127 no.?". This was not unusual, I've found...- so, moving to the "primary" workpage, 3 characteristic etudes, of which this was just a part. - Schissel
