There was also a "Charles Mayer" who died on October 24 1904 (Monatshefte... Totenliste, p.97) and taught at the Kaiser'sche Konservatorium in Vienna. Some of the works we have here may be by the composer who died in 1862, others by the pianist who perhaps composed and died in 1904?
