The cover has copyright 1876, the first page of score has copyright 1875. There is a note on page 4 (page 3 of the PDF - "Only when the Hymn is performed without instrumental accompaniment does the Tenor (divided) sing the upper small notes." - that suggests that this is indeed a chorus score (a score of just the chorus section of a work with chorus), not instead something different, an arrangement of the full score for mens' chorus a cappella. (Not enough information is provided to simply say, one way or the other.)
