Original music in pencil on three systems, without clefs or time signature, in Elgar's sketchbook 'VIII'. Inscribed 'for Dot's Nuns, 1906.'
Elgar's sister Helen Agnes (1864-1939) was known to the family as Dot. In 1902 she entered St. Rose's Convent in Stroud, Gloucestershire, taught music there, and was appointed Mother General in 1919.
