Apparently first published by Heugel with a vocalise by Weckerlin and translation by J. Lovy (assuming this is Fleur des Alpes Nº1)- several later versions, including variations for piano solo (Hoelzel) on, and translations into English (Elson) of Weckerlin's song, have assumed that the words as well as the music are Weckerlin's, but if vocalise means what it usually does, then the words were provided by Lovy and the music by Weckerlin??
Grove Music lists Fleur des Alpes as a collection of 20 tyroliennes, and has it in the category of Folksongs, which would presuppose the existence of words in the original version.
