Ernst Berens was a short-lived publishing venture in Hamburg, Germany, which lasted from 1862 to 1876. Berens' wife Marie (they lived in Schwarzenbek, near Hamburg) was the older sister to the composer Ferdinand Thieriot (1838—1919). Ernst Berens' publishing house published several of Thieriot's works. It was connected with Adolph Berens of Lubeck (1879-1892).
