This collection contains 243 transcriptions for primarily classical guitar of music originally written for other instruments. While the majority are for solo instrument, there are also pieces for duo, trio and quartet. There are also transcriptions for lute and a small number for tenor viola da gamba. More than 80 composers are represented in 1200 pages. Also included are 19 articles on transcription first published in the Guitar Foundation of America's journal, Soundboard, and a complete index of the collection. All of the music is also available as individual pieces from the website www.yatesguitar.com.
