Sketched in 1828, orchestrated in 1829 January. (Information from Hyperion Records notes, from biography of Spohr)
Published in 1885 in a piano reduction by Carl Rundnagel (1835-1911), and later (too recently I think) by Breitkopf in a reconstruction of the orchestral score (has the manuscript been lost??) by E. Hanisch. - Schissel
According to Keith Warsop (chairman, Spohr Society of Great Britain, 2008 notes to the Hyperion Recording of Spohr Concertos 3 and 4), manuscript parts became available for hire in 1884/85, and the Spohr’s autograph score was discovered in 1960 (leading to a scholarly edition published in 1976.) The 3rd concerto is still unpublished it seems though again the material is not lost, just in manuscript (if I read Warsop's notes right.
