Misc. Notes The basso generale is a basso seguente (a reduction of the upper parts) instead of a true continuo line. I've set it as a keyboard stave with an empty upper staff so players may make their own realization, if desired. It's not required for performance of the piece, which can stand alone on the 8 parts.

Navigation etc.

This is the only in Raverii's collection to specify specific instrumentation: 8 trombones. Such instructions were relatively rare for the period. The piece is not especially idiomatic to trombones, and can be easily played on 8 bass instruments, or even a combination of mostly bass with a few tenor instruments.

The parts are labeled for two choirs but do not follow the typical polychoral practice of echo and imitation.
