Misc. Notes From the uploader's mother's library. The bound cloth edition is in 6 Books, 2 per volume. This Violin Method is the result of a collaboration between August Wilhelmj and James Brown who outline their ambitions in the General Prefaces to each volume. The margins are of variable width, sometimes to accommodate the instructor's remarks, which are very few in number, which seems to indicate this Method was regrettably not followed with great industry by its former learner. On page 9 of Book 1 the teacher recommends adding Wilhelmj's recreational "Dances from Denmark", pleasure following instruction.
