Dalayrac published six sets of 6 Quartets each (Op.4, Op.5, Op.7, Op.8, Op.10, Op.11; all between 1777 and 1781; Op.10 are Variations on Airs connús), but Op.10 is the first set where Dalayrac's real name is mentioned on the title page (on the original title page of Op.7, the composer is called "M. M:D:L:C:).

Quartet opus 7 no.3 was recorded by the Loewenguth Quartet possibly around 1960 (10 minutes, 14 seconds in that LP recording). More recently the Quatuor Pascal has recorded No.5.

Oddly, Azémia also has opus # 7.
