Pfitzner went through a dark period after the age of 65 (1934), losing all his children: Paul (1903–1936), Agnes (1908–1939) and Peter (1906–1944). As a result he must have been happy to co-operate with the young violinist (age 24 in 1940). Set of 5 photos at ONB here
