Costallat & Cie published Kreutzer's 12 Sonatas for Violin and Cello in 4 Books without an editorship (no fingerings), and without opus numbers, with letters A, B, C & D. A marked op.16 contains the above works, B which is marked op.17 elsewhere on this page, and C & D.
In my library I have A (Paris, n.d. Plate 6232 R) and B (Paris, n.d. Plate 6233 R) but unfortunately not the others : C (op.18 ?) : Sonatas B flat, G & A, and D (op.19 ?) : Sonatas D minor, G minor & E. Since the first two volumes are already available here, I am not bothering to add my versions, which are in a poor state of preservation. - Jurabe. Although the names are similar, the arranger of Op.16, Henri Kaiser (1872-1917) was no relation of the editor of the 1850s Andre edition of both Op.16 and Op.17, Heinrich Ernst Kayser (1815-1888).
