Op.15 no. 1 is his 2nd phantasie for string quartet (his first, in F, was published in 1908). According to the plan of the Cobbett Competition which made the Tudor Phantasie/Fantasy newly popular, it may have only one movement in several sections, and may have been written for the same competition.
