"The" Lady Wodehouse in 1901 could (as far as I know??) refer to Eleanor Wodehouse born Deane (1861-1941, PG Wodehouse's mother, married into the family in 1877) or to one of a few other possibilities (or would The Lady Wodehouse by definition have to have been born into the family? I do not know.)
