I am currently studying music education at Utah State University with an emphasis on the saxophone. I will graduate in the fall of 2011 after I student teach. I am looking into studying music librarianship starting the fall of 2012. I am also considering a degree in ethnomusicology to study Bulgarian folk music.
Currently I am employed in Special Collections and Archives at the Merrill-Cazier Library on the Utah State University campus in Logan, Utah. I am working on the Frances Winton Champ Music Collection, a donation given to the university years ago from a prominent local family. As part of this project, I am curating an exhibit about Mrs. Champ and her musical life in Logan. This project is a collaborative effort through the USU Libraries, the Caine College of the Arts, and the Champ family.
