Kidson refers to William Napier as a "Scotch music seller", who set up business in London before 1773. Moved to 49 Great Queen Street before 1790, and to Lisle Street, Leicester Square c.1798.
The plates of several works (including oblong opera folios) were sold to J. Dale before 1786.
